About the Kennel
My life with Dalmatians started in the middle of the 1970´s when Antiope came into my life. We had lots of fun together and she made me realize that dalmatians are the one and only breed for me! Together with her I experienced dog shows and met new friends. When looking for a succesor to Antiope I contacted my friends Solveig and Bo at Solbo´s dalmatians. In their A-litter from 1988 I found the black spotted Solbo´s Aniara which became the foundation bitch at Ekryda.
I value openminded and positive dogs. Ch Ekryda Embla is no exception from that. She has had two litters containing champions as Grane, Glispa, Herakles and Herkules plus several CC-winning dogs. Embla´s progeny groups has won the BIS rosette more than 10 times in Swedish Kennel Club national and international shows.
One of the highlights throughout the years was the use of US Ch, SA Ch, Zimb Ch Labyrinth Big Spender in combination with Embla. This turned out to be a good match and stud dog, Ch Grane and two bitches were kept here to succeed their mother.
This far, 14 litters has been born at Ekryda. Most of the puppies in the later litters has been BAER tested. All our dogs are HD A or B, BAER++ and have full dentition.
